Final results announced for the Expression of Interest for the creation of Competence Centers for Research Data Management

The FCT has announced the final results of the Expression of Interest for the creation of Research Data Management Centers (GDI). This process represents an investment of around €3 million.

The project is part of the National Program for Open Science and Open Research Data (PNCADAI), an investment measure RE-C05-i08 – More Digital Science financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

In total, 14 proposals were selected for the creation of institutional and thematic centers, which will integrate the network supporting the management and opening of research data in Portugal, facilitating access for the internal user community to institutions and promoting the principles of FAIR Data.

During the evaluation process, the jury panel highlighted the high quality of the proposals submitted, as well as the initiative to establish and promote a National Network for Research Data Management.
