"Science, Innovation, and Society" will be the theme of Ciência 2025, an event that has established itself as the largest science and technology gathering in Portugal. The initiative aims to be a stage for promoting and discussing the scientific, social, cultural, and economic impact of national research, exploring the intersection between science, innovation, and society to inspire new ideas and foster transformative collaborations.

Pedro Pita Barros, Professor at Nova SBE, and Vera Aldeias, Research Coordinator at the University of Algarve, are the scientific curators of Science 2025. They emphasize that the theme "Science, Innovation, and Society" invites a comprehensive reflection on the structuring role of science in the development of societies.

In this edition, the European Commission is the guest of honor, represented at the event by high-level leaders in the field of Science and Innovation.

With a highly diverse program, more than 2,000 participants are expected to attend this meeting, which will feature more than 40 sessions, around 150 speakers, 34 exhibitors at the Science, Technology, and Innovation Exhibition, and an area for presenting scientific e-posters submitted by doctoral students from across the country. The submission of e-posters for this edition is now open, and the respective submission rules are also available.

Ciência 2025 is an organization of the Foundation for Science and Technology and the National Agency for Scientific Culture CIÊNCIA VIVA, in close collaboration with NOVA University Lisbon and with institutional support from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation. The event program will be available soon. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the Science 2025 website.
