Calls are now open Calls Studentships for Portuguese Students, Teachers, and Researchers 2026/2027

The Fulbright Portugal Program has opened applications Calls Studentships for Portuguese Students, Teachers, and Researchers for the 2026/2027 academic year. The deadline for submitting applications for all Calls is January 15, 2026.

Fulbright Studentships offer Portuguese students and teachers the opportunity to study, teach, or conduct research in the United States of America.

Two of these Calls Studentships Calls are supported by FCT, under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutions, and are aimed at students of Portuguese nationality. One of Calls for doctoral fellows directly funded by FCT who have planned or are planning to conduct a period of research at a university or research center in the US; the other is intended for students who will be attending, in person and full-time, the first year of a doctoral program at an accredited university in the US.

• Studentship Visiting Award at Florida Polytechnic University
• Studentship for Research with the support of the Regional Government of the Azores
• Studentship for Research with the support of FLAD – Luso-American Development Foundation
• Studentship for Professors and Doctoral Researchers
• Studentship for Professors and PhD Researchers with the Support of Camões I.P.
• Studentship Research Studentship
• Studentship for Master's Degree
