If you want to change the email address on your registration, you must do so on the "Account details" page on the CIÊNCIA ID platform.

The personal data updated in CIÊNCIA ID will then be synchronized the next time you enter the FCT information systems with CIÊNCIA ID authentication.

With the entry into operation of CIÊNCIA ID authentication in FCT's information systems, as of October 1, 2019, the change of personal data (name, gender, date of birth, nationality, e-mail and identification document) is now carried out on the CIÊNCIA ID platform on the "Personal data" page.

No. If you already have a user account on the FCT systems, but do not yet have a CIÊNCIA ID, obtain a CIÊNCIA ID and associate it with your existing user account.

You are not allowed to have more than one user account on FCT systems. For this reason, you can only associate your CIÊNCIA ID with one account.

In order for you to have access to features of the Science and Technology Portal (STP), they must have been delegated to you by the members of your institution who belong to the Administrators Group in the STP. You should contact one of these administrators to delegate access to the functionality you need.

With CIÊNCIA ID there is now a single account with official identification that allows authentication in various services in the field of science.

Any citizen engaged in scientific activity, researchers, teachers and scientific staff (e.g. science managers), Portuguese or foreign, involved in the Portuguese scientific system.

You can create your CIÊNCIA ID account in one of the following ways:

• Create account "Using your e-mail" - Manual Filling: This option allows the user to create their account by filling in their personal details manually. It is the user's responsibility to fill in these details correctly.
• Create Account "Using the Citizen Card or Digital Mobile Key": This option requires authentication with the Citizen Card or Digital Mobile Key. The main advantage is that the data relating to the user's identification document is filled in automatically.

Please note that in order to fully register and take full advantage of the system's features, you must create an account using the Digital Mobile Key or Citizen's Card.

You can access the CIÊNCIA ID website and carry out one of the following actions:

• Recover your password; or
• Log in using your Citizen Card or Digital Mobile Key and change your password in the CIÊNCIA ID profile management.
