Under the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement between Portugal and France, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and Campus France are launching another edition of the call for proposals to fund international mobility projects— the Pessoa 2026 Program. The main objective of the call is to promote scientific and technological exchange of excellence among professors and researchers, with a particular focus on young researchers from institutions in both countries, encouraging the creation of international teams and the development of new areas of cooperation.

This joint initiative is part of the Franco-Portuguese Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC) – Pessoa Program, implemented in France by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, and in Portugal by the FCT.

This program is intended exclusively to fund researcher mobility within the scope of their respective projects, through the award of an annual grant from the FCT in the amount of 2,500 euros to national institutions. Eligible recipients of this funding include non-business entities within the National Science and Technology System (SNCT) and companies of any type and under any legal form.

Applications may be submitted until 5:00 p.m. (Lisbon time) on September 15, 2026. For more information, please visit the contest page.
