FCT and DAAD Launch the 2026 Call for Applications for Bilateral Mobility Between Portugal and Germany

Under the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement between Portugal and Germany, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD – Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) are launching another call for proposals to fund international mobility projects.

This joint initiative aims to strengthen scientific and technological exchange of excellence among professors and researchers, with a particular focus on young researchers from institutions in both countries, encouraging the formation of international teams and the development of new areas of cooperation.

The program funds researcher mobility within the scope of their respective projects and is intended exclusively for such mobility, through an annual grant from the FCT in the amount of 2,500 euros. The beneficiaries of this funding are non-business entities within the National Science and Technology System (SNCT) and companies of any nature and under any legal form.
