The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) will hold an informational session on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships call for proposals, for which the application deadline is September 9, 2026.
The online session will be conducted in English, given the highly international nature of this funding instrument, on May 25 starting at 10 a.m. and is expected to last one hour. Advance registration is required: https://videoconf-colibri.zoom.us/meeting/register/y2FVDqZeShq-uWT4V7zspg.
The following topics will be covered:

- Eligibility requirements

- ERA Fellowships
- Proposal Outline
- Evaluation criteria
- Budget
THE MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are designed to fund a postdoctoral project in any field of knowledge, with the application submitted jointly by the applicant researcher and a host institution. To be eligible, researchers must comply with a mobility rule, meaning they may not have resided in, or carried out their main activity in, the country of the host institution for more than 12 months during the three years prior to the application deadline. In addition, they may not have completed their doctorate more than eight years prior to the application deadline (there are some exceptions, such as periods that do not count toward this eight-year limit, including maternity leave and time away from research).
The FCT is responsible for promoting the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions in Portugal, regularly organizing information sessions and proposal-writing workshops. It is also responsible for representing Portugal on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Program Configuration Committee within the European Union.
