FCT participates in global event on mineral exploration
The 2024 edition of the Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention (PDAC 2024) will be held March 3-6 in Toronto, Canada. Thirty thousand participants from more than 130 countries are expected to attend this global event on mineral exploration, motivated by its educational program, networking events, and business opportunities.
The FCT, representing ERA-MIN3, will be present at the European Union (EU) stand on mineral exploration and extraction (#931 South Pavilion). Under the motto "A new R&I agenda for a pan-European partnership on raw materials for the green and digital transition," FCT will present the ERA-MIN3 network at the session dedicated to European research and innovation (R&I) projects on March 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the EU stand.
ERA-MIN3 – Raw Materials for Sustainable Development and Circular Economy – is a pan-European network of research funding organizations, supported by the EU's Horizon 2020 program, now in its third edition – ERA-MIN3 (2020-2025), coordinated by FCT (Portugal). It aims to improve synergy, coordination, and coherence between regional, national, and EU funding in the raw materials sector. It also aims to improve the use of human and financial resources, competitiveness, and environmental, social, health, and safety issues in raw materials operations by supporting transnational R&I activities.
