Horizon Europe Implementation Day: European Commission in Portugal for a session dedicated to the implementation of the Framework Program

ANI, FCT, AICIB, and Portugal Space, in collaboration with the European Commission, are organizing on July 15, as part of the Science and Innovation 2026 Meeting, theHorizon Europe Implementation Day, an initiative aimed at the national research and innovation community and dedicated to the implementation of the Horizon Europe Framework Program (2021–2027).

This session will provide a unique opportunity for researchers, higher education institutions, research centers, companies, public entities, and other beneficiaries and potential participants to interact directly with European Commission experts responsible for implementing Horizon Europe.

As the Framework Program enters its final phase of implementation and discussions on the future of European research and innovation policy begin, this initiative will provide an opportunity to learn about the European Commission’s latest guidelines and explore key aspects essential for successful participation in the program.

Throughout the day, topics of particular relevance to beneficiaries will be addressed, including the main changes in the 2026–2027 Work Programs, recently introduced simplification measures, the financial and technical management of projects,lump-sum funding, preparation for inspections and audits, the proposal evaluation process, as well as the new features of the Funding & Tenders Portal.

The agenda also includes a session dedicated to promoting research results, presenting the current support services for the exploitation and commercialization of the results of funded projects, as well as the new initiatives the European Commission is developing in this area.

Each session will include a question-and-answer period, allowing participants to ask questions directly of the European Commission and learn about best practices for maximizing the impact of their participation in Horizon Europe.
