Cooperation between Portugal and France

The Foundation for Science and Technology has established with French agencies the following programs to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation between Portugal and France:

• The PESSOA Program that has as its main objective the implementation of scientific and technological exchange of excellence between research laboratories in the two countries, favoring the emergence of new teams and new cooperation themes.
• The Cotutelas Program which aims to encourage and support academic and scientific exchanges between Portugal and France.

An agreement was also signed between the FCT and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique - CNRS to finance exchanges of young researchers and PhD students.
