Since 2014, FCT has been the national representative of the Joint Programming Initiative Cultural Heritage and Global Change (JPI CH), having been part of the Coordination and Support Action of the JHEP2 Initiative - Joint Heritage European Program, which ended in 2019.
Joint Transnational Calls (JTCs) are launched to meet the objectives of the JPI CH in terms of aligning strategic research and innovation agendas and making the most of investments in R&D and national and Community infrastructures.
