FCT supports and accompanies the participation of the scientific and technological community in the international organizations to which Portugal belongs. The benefits for the scientific and technological community include access for national teams to international scientific infrastructures, increased competitiveness for industry, access to training programs and Calls for scientific or management positions in the different organizations.
The FCT also ensures national representation on the management bodies of international institutions and promotes and monitors the process of joining these organizations.
