Expression of Interest in accessing the pre-production phase of the new MareNostrum 5 supercomputer

The FCT invites potential interested parties from the national Science, Technology, Innovation, and Public Administration sectors to submit expressions of interest in accessing the pre-production phase of the new MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, which is expected to last three months, starting in June/July 2024. MareNostrum 5 (MN5) is a new European supercomputing platform installed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), in which Portugal has a 5% stake. The physical and logical assembly of the two largest computational partitions has recently been completed.

Interested parties should complete and submit the simplified form at https://forms.office.com/e/1Qn351dt7R, available until June 27, 2024. This access is intended only for pre-commercial research or innovation projects. For more information, please consult the page dedicated to this expression of interest on the FCT website. This process will close when the available resources are exhausted or when the A3 - MareNostrum 5 projects are approved in Call 4th Call Advanced Computing Projects.

It should also be noted that applications for larger access (A3) to this platform remain open until May 31 (6:00 p.m., Lisbon time).
