Call CaixaResearch Validate for biomedical research

FCT and the "la Caixa" Foundation have opened the applications to Call CaixaResearch Validate, for biomedical research projects. Proposals can be submitted until 13h (Lisbon time) on February 10th. Detailed information, as well as the regulations and the application form, are available at Call.

This Call, which takes place under the Caixa Validate Program, which is part of the new collaboration framework agreement between the two institutions, signed this month, aims to support research projects in the areas of life sciences, medicine and health whose objective is to valorize and commercialize assets resulting from research, patented or susceptible to being patented.

In addition to funding of up to 100 thousand euros, the selected projects will also receive support through supervision by specialists, the assignment of a mentor, and specialized training in strategic areas such as project management, financing and commercialization tools, among others, in order to provide key tools to define and successfully implement the valorization and commercialization plan.

Applicants must be non-profit legal entities - universities, university foundations, research and transfer centers, technology centers, hospitals, hospital foundations, and non-profit institutions whose main activity is research - registered in Portugal or Spain and with the status of owners or co-owners of the assets that are the object of the valorization and commercialization plan.
