FCT Board of Directors requests replacement

Taking into account the content of the terms of reference for the Reflection Group on the Future of the Foundation for Science and Technology and the suspension of the launch of all FCT initiatives previously planned and already announced to the scientific community, the FCT Board of Directors hereby announces that, under the terms of the law, it submitted a letter of resignation from its mandate to the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education on December 29.

This letter requests that the Board of Directors be replaced as soon as possible, preferably before the legal maximum of three months from the end of the mandate. It ended on December 31, 2015.

In the period following the end of its mandate, the FCT Board of Directors will continue to carry out its functions, within the established limits, in order to ensure the ongoing projects and the activity of the FCT.
