ERC starting grants for Portugal
Six scientists from Portuguese universities have received starting grants from the European Research Council. Manuel Alves (Department of Engineering, University of Porto), Lino Ferreira (Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra), Maria Goreti Ferreira Sales (Higher Institute of Engineering, Porto), Maria Mota (Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Lisbon), Mariana Pinho (Institute of Chemical and Biological Technology, New University of Lisbon), and Rodrigo Rodrigues (Center for Informatics and Information Technologies, FCT – New University of Lisbon) will receive funding ranging from €1.5 million to €2 million per project.
