ERC starting grants for Portugal
Six scientists from Portuguese universities have received starting grants from the European Research Council. Manuel Alves (Department of Engineering at the University of Porto), Lino Ferreira (Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology at the University of Coimbra), Maria Goreti Ferreira Sales (Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto), Maria Mota (Institute of Molecular Medicine at the University of Lisbon), Mariana Pinho (Institute of Chemical and Biological Technology at the New University of Lisbon) and Rodrigo Rodrigues (Center for Computer Science and Information Technology at FCT - New University of Lisbon), have received funding of between 1.5 and 2 million euros per project.
