Portuguese researcher receives Young Investigator Award from the American Society for Neuroscience

Rui Costa, a researcher at the Champalimaud Foundation, received the 2012 Young Investigator Award from the American Society for Neuroscience, together with his colleague Guo-li Ming (John Hopkins School of Medicine, USA). Noting the exceptional nature of this year's prize - it is usually awarded to researchers based in the United States - Rui Costa adds, "It's very motivating to see our work recognized. But it's also a great responsibility because many of the researchers who have received the prize in previous years have made significant contributions to neuroscience." Rui Costa's research is supported by the FCT and various international agencies.
