FCCN Conferences return to face-to-face format
The Jornadas da Computação Científica will return to the face-to-face format in its next edition, which will take place from October 19 to 21. This is the annual meeting of the community served by FCCN, FCT's National Scientific Computing unit, which will be held at the School of Technology and Management (Pole 2) of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.
The aim of the meeting is to maintain contact between the various communities of managers and users of the advanced computing, communication and other digital services platforms provided by the FCT's FCCN Unit. It is aimed at those responsible for the IT, library, documentation and/or archive services of Higher Education Institutions, decision-makers and institutional leaders with these responsibilities and those responsible for implementing science and research units.
As in previous years, over the course of three days, topics related to the FCT FCCN Unit's areas of activity will be presented and discussed: Connectivity, Computing, Collaboration, Knowledge and Security. There will also be room for socializing among the community. The social program includes, on the first day of the event, a walking trail dedicated to the work "The Crime of Father Amaro", by Eça de Queirós, and the conference dinner, on October 20.
