PARSUK Opens Call for Expressions of Interest for the 2026 Bilateral Research Fund

The call for expressions of interest for the 2026 Bilateral Research Fund (BRF), organized by PARSUK — the Portuguese Association of Researchers and Students in the United Kingdom—is open until April 30. The initiative aims to strengthen scientific cooperation between Portugal and the United Kingdom, offering early-career researchers an opportunity to access funding for bilateral projects.

BRF is an annual program that awards Studentships up to €3,000 to support collaborative research and academic mobility. Applications are open to postdoctoral researchers and early-career researchers based at Portuguese or British research institutions.

The principal investigator must be affiliated with a research institution in Portugal or the United Kingdom and may include several co-investigators in the proposal. At least one co-investigator must be based in the United Kingdom if the principal investigator is based in Portugal, and vice versa.
