The 2026 João Monjardino Award Opens for Applications

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the Professor Francisco Pulido Valente Foundation have opened the application period for the 2026 João Monjardino Award.

This year, the award aims to recognize the best scientific article published on the topic “Multimorbidity and Frailty in Older Adults: Clinical and Therapeutic Challenges.”

The Call open to researchers under the age of 35 at the time of application, whose work has been carried out in institutions within the national scientific and technological system.

The prize is worth €10,000, awarded in a single payment to the winner.

Applications will be accepted from July 6 through September 30, 2026.
