Revision of the Roadmap of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures

On October 8th, the European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) launched the revision of its Roadmap, to be published in 2026. This Roadmap, made up of European research infrastructures, has already been published six times and the most recently published ESFRI Roadmap 2021 lists 63 European infrastructures representing more than 20 billion euros of investment.

The aim of an updated version of the ESFRI Roadmap is to strengthen the collaborative approach with a view to building a robust and sustainable European ecosystem of research infrastructures, resulting in the strengthening of the European Union's competitiveness and excellence and the advancement of the European Research Area.

The national delegation to ESFRI(PTESFRI@fct.pt) is part of FCT and will be the contact point for the national scientific community participating in European applications to the new ESFRI 2026 Roadmap. More information is available on the FCT website.
