Revision of the Roadmap of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures

On October 8, the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) launched the revision of its Roadmap, to be published in 2026. This Roadmap, which covers European research infrastructures, is now in its sixth edition. The most recent ESFRI Roadmap 2021 lists 63 European infrastructures representing more than €20 billion in investments.

The aim of an updated version of the ESFRI Roadmap is to strengthen the collaborative approach with a view to building a robust and sustainable European research infrastructure ecosystem, resulting in enhanced competitiveness and excellence in the European Union and progress in the European Research Area.

The national delegation to ESFRI (PTESFRI@fct.pt) is part of FCT and will be the point of contact for the national scientific community participating in European applications for the new ESFRI Roadmap 2026. More information is available on the FCT website.
