The report "R&D Mobilization Program for the Prevention and Fighting of Forest Fires – path to impact" presents the analysis of the results produced and the impact assessment of the research projects developed under the R&D Program for the prevention and fighting of forest fires, promoted by FCT between 2017 and 2019. This program was created in the wake of the major fires of 2017 and its mission was to strengthen the development of R&D activities aimed at ensuring the appropriation and incorporation of scientific knowledge in support of decision-making in operational systems. Through this Call, FCT funded 56 scientific research and technological development projects in the field of forest fire prevention and control, with an investment of around €15 million.
The report "R&D Mobilization Program for the Prevention and Control of Forest Fires – path to impact" is now available for consultation.
