For the past 25 years, the General Support Technology Programme (GSTP) has been supporting the European space industry to develop cutting edge space technologies that ensure its competitiveness and enable missions that monitor and explore our World. The GSTP Programme has demonstrated itself to be a successful and key programme for building know-how and capabilities in the space industry, having proven to be an efficient programme in ESA to promote technological non-dependence and innovation. Over its lifespan, GSTP has transitioned not only to become a permanent program, but also seen its budget grow more than 10-fold, while having supported a total of more than 1500 of activities across its 24 of ESA’s Participating States.
