The results of the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area’s (PRIMA) 2019 Section 1 and Section 2 Calls for Proposals have been announced by the PRIMA Foundation.
In the case of Section 1’s calls (http://prima-med.org/results-of-the-call-prima-section-1-2019/), supported by the H2020 Framework Programme, 18 proposals have been selected. Portuguese participation encompasses 14 entities in 6 proposals altogether. Proposal TRACE-RICE, selected in the call for innovation actions under PRIMA’s Strategic and Research Agenda’s Topic 1.3.1 (Implementation of analytical tools and digital technology to achieve traceability and authenticity control of traditional Mediterranean foods), coordinated by Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária (INIAV), I.P., must be highlighted.
Under the sole Section 2’s call (http://prima-med.org/results-of-the-call-prima-section-2-2019/), 19 proposals were selected, while 11 are in a reserve list. In this call supported by national contributions, FCT will support the participation of 16 entities that participate in 11 proposals. Proposals PulpIng and Nano4Fresh, coordinated by Instituto Politécnico de Bragança and Instituto Superior Técnico da Universidade de Lisboa, respectively, are especially mentioned.
