FCT represents Portugal in the following European Partnerships:

Agroecology

Agroecology seeks to structure and support a network of Living Labs and research infrastructures that will accelerate the transition to agroecology in Europe, while ensuring a profitable and attractive activity for farmers, in line with the rationale and ambition set out in the European Green Deal and other related strategic initiatives.

Biodiversa+ – European Biodiversity Partnership

Biodiversa+aims to build bridges between science, policy, and practice within the framework of the European Biodiversity Strategy for 2030.

CETP – Clean Energy Transition Partnership

CETP aims to enable the clean energy transition and contribute to the EU's goals of becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.

Chips Joint Undertaking

Chips JU aims to support research and innovation, as well as design and production, in the field of electronic and photonic components and systems, including processors, sensors, and other semiconductor-based devices, as well as their applications in a wide range of sectors.

DUT – Driving Urban Transitions

DUTseeks to address the challenges of urban transition by involving regional, municipal, and local communities, based on three strategic axes of transition: Positive Energy Neighborhoods; 15-Minute City; Urban Circular Economies.

EP Brain Health – European Partnership for Brain Health

EP BrainHealth aims to align brain health research and innovation by promoting data sharing, infrastructure integration, and policy and funding alignment to accelerate solutions in promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care.

EP PerMed – European Partnership for Personalized Medicine

EP PerMed aims to improve health outcomes within sustainable healthcare systems through research, development, innovation, and the implementation of personalized medicine approaches for the benefit of patients, citizens, and society.

ERA4Health – Fostering a European Research Area for Health

ERA4Health aims to establish flexible and effective coordination between public partners with a view to financing and implementing joint research and innovation programs in priority areas of public health and well-being.

ERDERA – European Rare Diseases Research Alliance

ERDERA aims to support the coordination of research and innovation efforts in the field of rare diseases, with the goal of providing concrete benefits for patient health through improved prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

EUP AH&W – European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare

The EUP AH&W aims to provide society with guarantees regarding the control of infectious animal diseases through appropriate means, with the prudent use of antimicrobials, and respect for and improvement of animal welfare.

FutureFoodS – European Partnership for a Sustainable Future of Food Systems

FutureFoodS aims to collectively develop environmentally friendly, socially secure and fair, economically viable, healthy, and safe food systems in Europe by 2050.

EUP OHAMR – European Partnership on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance

EUP OHAMRaims to combat antimicrobial resistance through an integrated One Health approach, involving the human, animal, plant, and environmental health sectors. This partnership promotes research, innovation, and strategic alignment to prevent and control antimicrobial resistance, strengthening Europe's capacity to respond to this global threat to public health.

PARC – Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals

PARC aims to respond to current, emerging, and innovative challenges in chemical safety by promoting the transition to Next Generation Risk Assessment, in line with the European Green Deal's zero pollution ambition for an environment free of toxic substances, and in particular with the Strategy for the Sustainability of Chemicals towards a Toxic-Free Environment.

SBEP – Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership

SBEP aims to drive a fair, inclusive, and necessary transformation towards a climate-neutral, sustainable, and productive blue economy by 2030, while creating and supporting the conditions for a healthy ocean by 2050.

THCS – Transforming Health and Care Systems

THCS aims to support and coordinate national and regional research and innovation programs, along with capacity building, networking, dissemination, and other activities that support the transformation of health systems and care delivery.

Water4All – Water Security for the Planet

Water4All aims to pool efforts, mobilize resources, and strengthen European leadership and competitiveness in water research and innovation.
