Calls Exploratory Projects within the scope of international partnerships between FCT and US universities

Applications are being accepted until January 22, 2025, for Exploratory Calls within the scope of international partnerships between FCT and the US universitiesCarnegie Mellon University(CMU),Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT), andUniversity of Texas at Austin(UT Austin).

The international partnershipsCMU-Portugal,MIT-Portugal, andUT Austin-Portugal promote annual Calls exploratory projects, with the aim of developing disruptive, high-risk scientific projects that have a high potential impact on the development and valorization of scientific results.

In each of these Calls, the expected duration of the projects to be developed is 12 months, with total funding of €400,000 allocated to each partnership.

The FCT supports the internationalization of the national scientific and technological community by representing Portugal in international forums, funding innovative projects, and promoting the mobility of highly qualified human resources.
