The Studentship awarded on a competitive basis, so it is only possible to request a change to any element of Studentship exceptional and duly justified circumstances. Please check how to submit any request for change in the answers to the questions below.

When signing the Studentship contract, Studentship undertake to comply, within the number of months previously chosen, with a single work plan with specific tasks and objectives, predominantly in a particular scientific field, under the supervision of one or more designated supervisors and at one or more designated institutions. This research work is associated with a specific doctoral degree awarded by a specific institution. Therefore, whenever there is or is intended to be any change to these essential elements Studentship , the scholarship holder must notify or request the FCT to consider the change.

If you wish to request any changes to the approved work plan (title, duration, objectives, or tasks to be performed), you must submit your request athttps://myfct.fct.pt/ by accessing the menu Funding → Requests → Create Requests, and submit the following documentation, indicating the justification for the relevance/necessity of the requested change(s):
- Statement from all supervisors clearly informing about the changes to be made to the work plan and justifying their relevance/necessity. The supervisors' statement is submitted by them directly on the myFCT platform after the scholarship holder has made their request.
- Statement from those responsible for the host institutions, in which they must express their opinion on the acceptance of the change and the continuation of the work carried out by the scholarship holder, after the possible approval of the requested change(s).
- Revised work plan, which must clearly indicate the aforementioned changes. It must include an updated schedule reflecting the proposed changes.

If you wish to add, remove, or change any of the host institutions, i.e., any of the institutions where your research work will take place during the Studentship, you must submit your request at https://myfct.fct.pt/ by accessing the menu Funding → Requests → Create Requests, and submit the following documentation, stating the reasons for the change:
a) Statement issued by the head of the new host institution, confirming acceptance of the position and indicating the start date. The statement must be submitted by the fellow in PDF format.
b) Statement issued by the head of the outgoing host institution, informing of the termination of their position and the date on which it takes effect. The statement must be submitted by the scholarship recipient in PDF format.
c) Statement issued by the heads of the other host institutions, if any, acknowledging and agreeing to the request for a change of host institution, indicating the name of the new institution and the name of the outgoing institution. The statement must be submitted by the scholarship holder in PDF format.
d) Statement issued by all supervisors, giving their opinion on the justification for the relevance/necessity of the request to change the host institution. The supervisors' statement is submitted by them directly on the myFCT platform after the scholarship holder has made their request.

If you wish to change the institution that will award you your degree, you must submit your request at https://myfct.fct.pt/ by accessing the menu Financing → Requests → Create Requests, and submit the following documentation, justifying the relevance/necessity of this change:
a) Document proving enrollment at the new institution awarding the degree;
b) Statement from all those responsible for the host institutions, confirming that they are aware of and agree to the change. The statement must be submitted by the scholarship recipient in PDF format. (Note: the statement may be individual or signed by all).
c) Statement issued by all supervisors acknowledging and agreeing to the aforementioned change. The supervisors' statement is submitted by them directly on the myFCT platform after the scholarship recipient has made their request.

If you wish to add, remove, or change any of the members of your guidance team, you must submit your request at https://myfct.fct.pt/ by accessing the menu Financing → Requests → Create Requests, and submit the following documentation, stating the reasons for the change:
a) Statement from each new proposed guidance team member accepting the respective role, indicating the start date. The statement must be submitted by the scholarship recipient in PDF format.
b) Statement from each member of the supervisory team who is leaving their position, explaining the reasons for ceasing to supervise the scholarship recipient and indicating the date on which this will take effect. The supervisors' statements are submitted directly by them on the myFCT platform after the scholarship recipient has made the request.
c) Statement from all other supervisors, commenting on the proposed change(s) and agreeing to them. The supervisors' statement is submitted by them directly on the myFCT platform after the scholarship recipient has made the request.
d) Statement from the heads of all host institutions, justifying the relevance/necessity of the change. The statement must be submitted by the scholarship recipient in PDF format.
Important Note:
Whenever the change involves the inclusion of a new member in the guidance team, it will be mandatory to identify their Science ID.
In cases where advisors have not yet created a Ciência ID, they must first register at http://www.ciencia-id.pt/.
