Since 2006, the internationalization of national scientific and higher education institutions has been promoted, fostering innovative projects and the mobility of highly qualified human resources. These partnerships have promoted new thematic knowledge networks involving thousands of teachers, researchers, and master's and doctoral students. Launched in 2018, the goPORTUGAL initiative has reinforced and expanded the concept of international partnerships, mobilizing more international actors and attracting foreign investment, and promoting scientific diplomacy.
