L’Oréal Portugal Medals of Honor for Women in Science

The L'Oréal Portugal Medals of Honor for Women in Science is an initiative of L'Oréal Portugal, in conjunction with the Portuguese National Commission for UNESCO (CNU) and the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), with the aim of promoting women's participation in science by encouraging young and promising scientists at the beginning of their careers to pursue advanced studies in the fields of science, engineering, and technology for health or the environment.

The medals are intended for advanced scientific research studies at postdoctoral level at Portuguese universities or other institutions of recognized merit in the fields of Science, Engineering, and Technology for Health or the Environment.

All female PhD graduates who obtained their doctorate less than 5 years prior to the opening date of Call who will not be older than 35 by the end of the current year are eligible to apply.

The unit value of the Medals of Honor is €15,000.
