Information session on the Calls the Chips Partnership Joint Undertaking
An information session on the Calls the Chips Joint Undertaking Partnership was held at INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, in Braga, on March 4.

The session was organized jointly by FCT and the National Innovation Agency (ANI) and was attended by the Minister for Science and Technology, Elvira Fortunato, the President of FCT, Madalena Alves, the Coordinator of ANI's European R&I Programs Unit, Anabela Carvalho, representatives of the National Delegation to Chips JU, the Chips JU Executive, and private members of the Partnership.
The event addressed the funding opportunities available under the Partnership, which acts as a central driving force in implementing the objectives of the European Chips Act—a regulatory framework designed to strengthen the continent's competitiveness and resilience in semiconductor technologies.
This session brought together funding agencies, experts, academics, and industry representatives to explore joint efforts at the national level, with European partners, to strengthen the semiconductor ecosystem and highlighted the role to be played by Portugal as a participating state in the Chips JU.
