Ongoing updating of R&D unit research teams (2021)

Yes, in order to register a member of the research team, they must have a CIÊNCIA ID associated with their FCT SIG user registration on MyFCT. To obtain the identifier and association with the FCT system, access the link: https://myfct.fct.pt/GMSAML/MyFCTRegister.aspx.

Adding a member to the team can be initiated by entering the email address found in the individual FCT registration on the home page. The platform automatically confirms whether the member has the CIÊNCIA ID associated with the FCT SIG user registration. It is then necessary to fill in the mandatory fields on the platform relating to the level of training, participation in the team, and professional status. While filling in the form, the data can be saved and the member will remain on the team list with the status To be submitted. The member's registration is completed upon submission.

• By submitting: initial status of the element record after it has been added and saved / status in which the mandatory data for the element has not been entered or has not been fully entered, but the record has been saved / status in which the data for the element has been entered and saved, but in either case the element record has not been submitted;
• Pending: the registration of the doctoral candidate's data has been submitted and is awaiting confirmation by the doctoral candidate;
• Confirmed: status of a doctoral member after confirming their participation in the team. For non-doctoral members, this status will be immediately assigned after submitting the data registration, as these members do not need to confirm their participation in a team. The team of an R&D unit is composed of members with Confirmed status;
• Declined: after submitting the registration of a doctoral candidate, the doctoral candidate declined to participate in the team.

Active is a team member whose start date is earlier than or equal to the current date and whose end date is blank or later than the current date. Inactive is a team member whose end date is earlier than or equal to the current date or whose start date is later than the current date or who does not have a start date filled in.
