Submission of documents for a financed contract

It is mandatory to submit the Call notice and the employment contract or Studentship agreement. When there are changes to the contract that have implications for funding, an addendum to the contract must be submitted. Documents must be uploaded in PDF format. If the employment contract does not require a Call and therefore there is no call notice, a document with a simple justification mentioning this aspect must be uploaded in place of the call notice.

The documents submitted are verified by FCT and the result of their validation is considered for the purposes of verifying human resources expenses submitted in payment requests through the Science and Technology Portal. The results of the validation of documents submitted on the platform are communicated by email to the R&D unit and can be consulted on the platform from the list of team members. Documents may be validated or not validated. If the documents are not valid, they can be replaced or others added for re-validation.

No, the documents relating to employment contracts attributed to the financing of the R&D unit or Associate Laboratory be provided to the FCT by uploading them to the platform.

They may or may not be eligible, since the eligibility of expenses is not assessed solely on the basis of the compliance of the documents relating to the contract. Expenses are presented in payment requests submitted to the PCT. When analyzing these requests, the following factors are also considered: whether the tasks fall within the scope of the funding objectives and the implementation period, the legality of the expense documents, the employer's mandatory deductions, and other factors that are part of the analysis, such as budget availability.
