The FCT and the Fulbright Commission signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 23, 2016 with a view to promoting a joint program of allocation of Studentships , namely the Fulbright Studentships for Research with the Support of the FCT .
THE Studentship It is intended for doctoral scholarship holders directly financed by the FCT who have planned or will plan, within the scope of their training plan, to carry out a period of research at a North American university or research center.
Areas of Study
- All areas.
- Research activities cannot involve direct contact with clinical patients. Depending on the nature of the project, this may also apply to projects in the field of medical sciences, veterinary medicine, nursing, dentistry, psychological counseling or any other field that requires direct contact with clinical patients and/or prescribing or administering medication.
Requirements
- To be the holder of a Studentship PhD directly financed by FCT;
- Good knowledge of English;
- Proof of agreement with the project by the North American institution;
- Proof of agreement with the project by the scientific advisor of the doctoral program that the candidate is undertaking.
This program benefits or has benefited from funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan, and is one of the measures included in the investment RE-C06-i06 - Science Plus Training and contracted between the FCT and the Recovering Portugal Mission Structure.
