This is a period imposed by the journal (or publisher) between the publication of the article and its being made available in open access.

The RCAAP network (Repositórios Científicos de Acesso Aberto de Portugal) is made up of a set of repositories from institutions that are part of the project. The list of these repositories can be found here: RCAAP - Open Access Scientific Repositories of Portugal
RCAAP is an initiative managed and operated by FCT. RCAAP aims to increase the visibility, accessibility and dissemination of the results of national academic and scientific research activity and to facilitate access to information on national scientific production on an open access basis.

Depositing the article in a repository on the RCAAP network is a condition for it to be open access if it is published in a closed-access journal, i.e. only accessible by subscription. This deposit complies with FCT's Open Access Policy. For the deposit of articles originally published in open access, see 3.5.

The deposit must be made at the time the article is accepted for publication or at the latest at the time of publication.

Yes. The article can be deposited cumulatively in other repositories, such as PubMed Central, ArXiv or others or published in other media, such as the author's personal pages.
